Children of the flesh and sons of God

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us... John 1:12-14a

Stuck by the symmetry in this passage as I read it this morning. This is the will of God: that he who is the son of God should become flesh so that we who were children of the flesh might become sons of God.
